The Wireless Communication Commission in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of Emergency Communications prepared a white paper titled “The Evolution of Public Safety Communications in Mississippi”. This white paper highlights the paradigm shift in public safety communications since Hurricane Katrina and gives examples of the use of the interoperability that the system provides first responders across the state.
